Summer time

It’s a lifetime
the learning process,
but it seems evidence
that after Spring
comes Summer

of the honey jar

Day in day out

Day in, day out,
it is raining - old birch trees
knitting a green lace


Päivästä toiseen
sataa - koivut kutovat
vihreää pitsiä

afternoon commute
spring rain soothing
my jangles nerves

after shift from hell
pulling out extra weeds
form the garden beds

red-tipped apple blossom -
bee visits the
house of a thousand kisses

Enjoying the sights...

bounce in the breeze

such joy
cherry blossom swirling:
one rides on a dog's nose

home depot run
chatting with the maples
to see which one is mine

balmy spring evening

I haven't been written much this Spring, but I have the feeling that Spring Haiku 2008 has been a rather productive for others. I hope that this spirit will continue in a Summer Haiku 2008 blog.

in the rose bush
a fresh feeder

filling some new flower pots
while the dryer runs

mother's hands
buried in the earth -
her cherry tree blossoming
